Michl is a fast-growing LA-based artist who has racked up a sizeable audience despite avoiding the spotlight. His latest track, ‘Self’, is arguably his best work yet; a subtle electronic track that develops from a combination of restrained drums and synth work into a polyphonic, string-backed outburst of melody. "I've always found it hard to navigate being in the music industry,” he explains. “I tend to shy away from the spotlight, it's been my personality since I was a kid. I sometimes wonder if I had a different personality, if I'd be more successful or not, and these are the thoughts I have about it all." He has played alongside Billie Eilish and Tove Lo to name a couple, but is making a name for himself with his own unique style. -Dan Peeke
